Travel day 2: France

Day 2 was a day to see the best of the french motorways, almost the whole route was on the Peage (Toll motorway). We made good progress as we wanted to build camp just before the Pyrenees. Toll costs about 200 euro’s. Viva la France

Niek started as our pilot/driver and we drove off around 6.30. Kees backed the bread, made coffee and pulled from secret draws the food. I volunteered to prepare the food, trying to serve the gentlemen with their particular needs: I want real butter and no margarine, I want only cheese, I want cheese and….Pffff what a wankers 🙂

In the afternoon the weather improved significant with temperatures up to 24 degrees. During one of the few stops we made, Kees surprised himself by buying a (expensive for him) new short. 5 out of 7 did wear shorts, drivers versus non drivers??

The stop was just before the magnificent mountains, where we had the luxury of our own Dixy, clean and with toilet paper. The view was amazing with the mountain snow tops.

Kees made dinner, bread, eggs and ham. and yes, we had a few beers and some Jagermeisters.
